Buying refurbished laptops: what to check before you pay

Refurbished can be brilliant value — if you know what questions to ask and what red flags to avoid.

Refurbished should mean tested, cleaned, and warrantied — not simply 'used'. Ask what's been replaced (battery, SSD, keyboard) and how long the warranty runs.

Check the battery health report if it's a laptop. A cheap machine with a dead battery isn't a bargain. We test every refurbished unit that leaves MZE and stand behind it with local support.

Inspect ports, hinges, and the display in person when you can. For remote buyers, buy from a shop that accepts returns or offers clear grading (Grade A, B, etc.).

Our Atlantis store stocks refurbished i3, i5, and i7 laptops and desktops — ideal for students, home office, and light business use. WhatsApp us for current stock and specs.
